What inspired this wish list request?
The Match Function in Formula Editor is very useful: one can use it like replace or to calculate different outcomes depending on a match with a column value.
What is the improvement you would like to see?
Please add an auto-mode:
1) In Formula Editor - when a user holds down the Shift key while adding a match() function, JMP scans the content of the match column and auto-populates the entries of the match function (if you didn't know - this functionality is already available : )
2) in Formula Editor, when a user holds down the Shift key while selecting an existing match() function, JMP scans the content of the match column and auto-updates the entries of the match function (existing values stay as they are, new values get added).
Why is this idea important?
Will extent the functionality of Formula Explorer beyond its current beauty.
