What inspired this wish list request?
When I am working on the DOE platform, for example, the Custom Design feature, I first list my factors and their level values. Some of these factors sometimes have 2, 3, or 4 levels.
Then, I list all the effects I want to include in the model. JMP then provides the required number of runs.
Sometimes, depending on the number of runs, we want to modify some factors, either by removing one level of a factor or by adding an additional level.
When we do this, JMP updates the Model list, reverts to the initial list, and we need to redefine all the interactions we had previously placed in the Model list.
What is the improvement you would like to see?
Is it possible to prevent the Model list of effects from changing?
Why is this idea important?
Sometimes we have to add more than 10 interactions, and it is tedious/time-consuming to have to redo this simply because we removed one level from a factor.
