What inspired this wish list request?
When using the custom DOE platform and adding a blocking variable, the only option is to specify how many runs per block there are. Before a run count is determined, it can be difficult to know how many runs per block there will be for a set number of blocks.
What is the improvement you would like to see?
An option to choose the number of total blocks, and have the platform determine the number of runs per block based on the number of runs.
Why is this idea important?
Often, when performing an experiment, the number of blocks is fixed, but the number of runs is flexible. Having the platform do the calculation to determine the number of runs per block can prevent having to iteratively change the number of runs per block to get to the right design.
