What inspired this wish list request?
Currently, when you manually need to change a point or a line color, the color picking tool has a preset grid of shades and colors. These shades and colors do not always match the color palette set as the default. For example it is hard to match a manual color to the Universal color palette colors from this menu. When you try to find more colors you get the slider with TOO many options.
What is the improvement you would like to see?
The top line of the manual color selector to contain swatches of the color palette set in your preferences. This way you can still use the normal swatch of colors suggested but would be easier to match colors and stick within your preset/preferred theme.
Why is this idea important?
This idea would primarily make the JMP color system more accessible to those with color blindness. It can be difficult to tell if the shades that are in the manual pick are the same shades as what is already on the graph. JMP has color blindness friendly palettes, however as soon as you need to manually adjust any colors the platform is no longer accessible. For non color blind people this would also streamline the process and make it much easier to tweak small adjustments in data visualization.
