Augment Design Includes Specifying Number of Whole Plots

What inspired this wish list request? Please describe the current issue that needs improvement or the problem to be solved that is not easy or possible right now, with an example use case. If the design you are augmenting is in a split-plot structure, you can specify the total number of runs, but not the number of whole plots. Suppose an initial design had 5 whole plots with 25 runs, then if I increase the design size to 40 runs, Augment Design automatically assigns 3 new whole plots as it must be 5 runs per whole plot. With sequential experimentation, that could easily change and if 3 runs are desired per whole plots, we may want those 15 additional runs to span 5 whole plots instead of 3 to improve the design evaluation criteria.

What is the improvement you would like to see? Please describe the idea for improving JMP. Please include mock-ups, wireframes, screenshots, scripts, other documents or examples from other software that help describe the change you would like to see. In Custom Design, a split-plot experiment lets you specify the "Number of Whole Plots" as well as the "Number of Runs." Augment Design only lets you have the latter, but including the former should be simple and can easily mirror what is already familiar to users in Custom Design.

In my specific example, it may look like this:

Why is this idea important? Please describe the value to you and/or other users if the idea is implemented (for example, ease of use, must have,…).The Custom Design platform offers great flexibility for experimenters to design the right experiments for their problems. Since Augment Design uses similar methodology, offering that flexibility is another value-added improvement.
