What inspired this wish list request?
When creating multiple XY graphs stacked vertically in Graph Builder, all graphs are assigned the same height by default. However, in many practical scenarios, some graphs require more visual space than others—for example, when one graph contains many variables or when differences in scale make certain variables difficult to see.
Currently, it is not possible to manually adjust the size of each graph independently. This limitation forces users to display all graphs with equal prominence, even when one of them should be emphasized for clarity or interpretability.
What is the improvement you would like to see?
I would like the ability to adjust the height of each graph individually when multiple graphs are stacked vertically in Graph Builder.
This enhancement could include:
- A draggable divider between graphs to increase or decrease their height.
- An option in the right‑click menu or toolbar to set relative size or allocate more space to selected graphs.
- The ability to make one graph visually dominant while shrinking others, depending on analytical needs.
This feature would allow users to emphasize the most important graph, improve readability, and avoid unnecessary duplication of variables across separate plots.
Why is this idea important?
Users working with multiple time‑based or process‑related plots often need to prioritize one graph over others for interpretation, troubleshooting, or presentation. Adjustable graph heights would make it easier to highlight key information, improve visibility of complex variables, and create clearer visuals for reporting.
Overall, this feature would enhance flexibility, reduce manual workarounds, and significantly improve the usability of stacked graphs in Graph Builder.
