Add a ruler to Graph Builder

Often I want to know the distance in x, y, and absolute distance between points.  I can't find any way to do this currently in JMP.

Gnuplot has a mode where you press a key and it anchors a start point, then you can move the mouse around in the window and it shows the delta-x, delta-y, and distances of the mouse from the start point.

Something like this in JMP would be very handy!

We're working on this for JMP 16.

JMP 16 now has a ruler tool that works in (most) every graph, not just Graph Builder.

Awesome, it's very smooth.  Nicely done!

I showed it to my lead, and he said -- "Looks great... but no angle?"  Hm.

I was also thinking it might be nice to get a cross-hairs view for selecting the points.

This works great. Follow-up question. Does anyone know how to have it freeze in the graph? Would be nice to have it stay. In windows able to make it stay if you take a screen shot, does not disappear until you click back on the graph. But would be nice not to have to stretch fingers of one hand for screen shot while holding down the mouse.
