95% CI for %CV

Pharma agencies are now wanting a CI around the %CV for method validation. It would be helpful to include this in the Distributions platform. It is the same formula as for 95% CI for SD (McKay’s approximation). It can be set up as a formula column in JMp or Excel, but a tedious process to input all the %CVs from Distributions for each method and N-1 is unique for each section of each method validation report (I added a column for N-1 which is used in the formula column). For all the methods for one project it is about 80 entries. I also did SD 95% CI to validate I was getting the same result from the formula column as in Distributions. I set up 2 formula columns, one for upper and one for lower. Then still had to transfer the results to a report. If part of the Distributions menu, can use “make consolidated table” option. This should be a simple addition, perhaps in the next subversion of JMP 19? Thank you! I can share the formula if needed.

Hello @JMPuser_fromTX , the 95% CI for the Coefficient Variance has been delivered as an addin. See here Confidence Interval for the Coefficient of Variation (CV) - JMP User Community. Would that help?
