If you use Open Table or Query Builder in JMP®, you may encounter the error: "The specified DSN contains an architecture mismatch between the Driver and Application".
With Database Management Systems (DBMS) such as Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server, PostgreSQL, etc., you need to configure the ODBC data source that corresponds with the architecture of JMP. If you have JMP 64-bit, configure your data source (DSN) under the ODBC Data Source (64-bit). If you have JMP 32-bit, configure your data source (DSN) under the ODBC Data Source (32-bit). The table below shows how the operating system, JMP, and the ODBC driver source correlate.
Note that JMP 15 and later versions are 64-bit only.
Operating System |
JMP |
ODBC Source |
File Location |
64-bit Windows |
64-bit JMP |
64-bit ODBC |
c:\Windows\System32\odbcad32.exe |
64-bit Windows |
32-bit JMP |
32-bit ODBC |
c:\Windows\SysWOW64\odbcad32.exe |
32-bit Windows |
JMP (32-bit only) |
ODBC (32-bit only) |
c:\Windows\System32\odbcad32.exe |
You may need your IT team to help you properly configure your DSN under the appropriate ODBC (odbcad32.exe).
