Issue Description
JMP® users may experience "flash crashes" when using the drag-and-drop feature in Graph Builder. These crashes cause JMP to shut down abruptly without providing the standard JMP Crash Report prompt upon restart nor generating crash logs in the Temp ► JMPCrashReports folder.
Resolution
To avoid the crash, we recommend clicking instead of drag-and-dropping (see GIF below).

To prevent future crashes when using drag-and-drop, please do the following to retrieve a task-list dump* from your machine:
- Press the Windows Key on your keyboard
- Type Command Prompt into the search bar and right click > Run as Admin
- When the program opens, use the following cmd line: tasklist > c:\process_list.txt
- This will save the file to your C:\Drive.
- Using File Explorer, navigate to your C:\Drive and find the process_list.txt file.
- Open the process_list.txt file, and use the hotkey Ctrl + F and search for DGAgent.exe.
- Verify that DGAgent.exe is visible in the list
- If DGAgent.exe is visible, please reach out to your internal IT team to whitelist JMP.exe with Digital Guardian.
- In the event DGAgent.exe is NOT visible, please contact JMP Technical Support at support@jmp.com for further instruction.
*Please note - you may potentially need your IT team's assistance for procuring the task-list dump depending on your user profile's level of permissions on the Windows machine.
Test to Confirm
Once JMP.exe has been whitelisted, open JMP Software and test the drag-and-drop feature within Graph Builder to verify full functionality.
