Due to a threat of malicious code being transported in JMP® files, JMP 14 and newer versions includes a security feature to block the immediate launch of JSL code in data tables and JSL scripts that are downloaded. This feature can be triggered by data files stored on a network drive that is not registered with Windows as a secure location. Here is how to add your network location as a trusted local intranet zone.
Note: Windows 11 no longer shows an option for Internet Options. The utility is present but not visible. You will need to select Settings from the Start menu and search for "internet options" to find it.
First, enter the server name of the network location in the text box and click Add. In the example below, the server name is vboxsvr.
You also need to enter the file URL, which appears as file://server. Type in the file URL in the text box and click Add. In the example below, the file URL is file:// vboxsvr.
If this JMP Note does not resolve the appearance of the JMP Security window, please contact a system specialist with JMP Technical Support.
