A table created in JMP 15 that uses the List Check property can crash JMP when the JMP version is earlier than JMP 15. In some cases, the table can be opened, but data are not displayed as expected.
A change was made in JMP 15 to better handle the List Check property. The property can now handle more than 256 values. After this change was made, some new limitations were introduced.
If the List Check property has 255 values or less, then the coding is saved in the older format. In this case, the List Check property is preserved and the table is readable in both JMP 15 and previous versions of JMP.
However, if there are between 256 and 65,535 values for the property, then the table is readable only in JMP 15.
As a workaround, you can remove the List Check property, and the table should then open without issues in versions of JMP that are earlier than JMP 15.
