The following is a step-by-step guide for sites that wish to provide users with instructions to install JMP®on their machines.
Note:This JMP Note is not intended to address any environmental or system-related issues that might arise during installation. If any deviations are encountered during the installation, verify whether you are running a version of JMP supported by your operating system as listed in theJMP System Requirements (Windows). Otherwise, contact your IT administrators. You can also contact JMP Technical Support.
Download the JMP executable locally on your computer from my.jmp.com.
Go to your Downloads folder or the location you saved the download on your computer. Double-click the executable (e.g., jmp__1810__win.exe). Note: Right-click the installer and choose Run as Administrator to install JMP with the highest privileges possible. If prompted to enter a username and password, contact your IT department to help you with the installation. JMP will display a splash screen and proceed to the Preparing Setup screen.
Click Next to proceed with the installation.
Review the License Agreement terms and select I accept the terms... if you wish to proceed with the installation.
At the Choose Destination Location window, you can change the default location of the JMP installation by choosing Browse. Click Next at the Choose Destination Location window to proceed with the installation. The installation files will be written to the drive you select.
The Select Features window offers options to install additional features with your JMP installation such as the Excel add-in. Select the feature(s) you want to install and clickNext.
At the Ready to Install the Program window click Install to proceed with the installation. The installer will install Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributables, JMP, and Microsoft WebView.
At the InstallShield Wizard Complete screen select the checkbox next to Create desktop shortcut if you want a JMP icon on your desktop. Click Finish.
You will need to authorize your JMP software at launch. See Opening JMP for the First Time for the steps to authorize JMP.
I have just installed JMP 18 on my Windows 11 PC and have lost functionality for using, editing, or creating data tables and plots. I can look at existing files but can't do much with them....any help is appreciated.
