If I change my columns from ordinal to nominal or vice versa, my parameter estimates do not match. Why?

This is due to the different parameterizations JMP® uses for the two column types. See the discussion of Nominal Factors and Ordinal Factors in the JMP Online Help for more information on the exact parameterizations. The parameter estimates differ, but the predicted values from the two models are consistent.
