If the Excel Add-in for JMP® was once visible in Excel but is no longer listed in the menu, follow these steps to correct the problem. This may occur when the file used to load the add-in becomes unregistered.
To register or re-enable the Excel Add-in for JMP:
- Close Excel.
- Launch the Command Prompt in Windows. See 10 ways to launch the Command Prompt in Windows for your specific Windows version.
- Right-click Command Prompt and choose Run as Administrator.
- Register the "JMPProfilerGUIAddinShim.dll" by pasting the following command(s), depending on the version of JMP installed.
- For JMP:
- regsvr32 /i "C:\Program Files\SAS\JMP\14\ExcelProfiler\JMPProfilerGUIAddinShim.dll"
- For JMPPRO:
- regsvr32 /i "C:\Program Files\SAS\JMPPRO\14\ExcelProfiler\JMPProfilerGUIAddinShim.dll"
Note: The folder 14 in this path indicates JMP 14 is installed. Change this according to your version of JMP.
- Click enter on your keyboard to register the .dll. You should see the following prompt.
Figure 1
- Open Excel and the Add-in (JMP tab) should be available.
Note: If you navigate to C:\Program Files\SAS\<JMP or JMPPRO>\14\ and do not see the folder ExcelProfiler, or if you do not see the JMPProfilerGUIAddinShim.dll under C:\Program Files\SAS\<JMP or JMPPRO>\14\ExcelProfiler\, your add-in may have been inadvertently un-installed. Re-install the add-in by running the setup.exe from within the software depot, choose Modify, and select the Excel Add-in to install it again.
If your add-in does not load after following the steps above, or if you have trouble completing these steps, please contact JMP Technical Support for further assistance.
