How to completely remove all JMP system and configuration files from macOS

Background

 

It is sometimes necessary to remove all JMP files from a system. Follow the steps here to completely remove all JMP system and configuration files from a macOS system.

The steps below require full administrative rights. If you do not have full administrative rights on your computer, you will need assistance from your IT team.

 

Steps

 

Remove JMP Application

1) From Finder, select Go > Applications

2) Find all JMP applications in the Applications folder and drag them to Trash

(You might have to provide your password to complete the action)

 

Remove JMP User Customization Data

1) From Finder, select Go > Go to Folder…

2) Type ~/Library and hit Enter

3) In the user’s Folder, open the Application Support folder

4) Select the JMP folder and drag it to Trash

(You might have to provide your password to complete the action)

5) Navigate back to ~/Library

6) Open the Preferences folder

7) Find all the “com.sas.jmp” files and drag them to Trash. 

There will be at least com.sas.jmp.plist and maybe more than one.

 

Remove JMP Global Customization Data

1) From Finder, select Go > Go to Folder…

2) Type /Library and hit Enter

3) In the system Library folder, open the Application Support folder

4) Select the JMP folder and drag it to Trash

(You might have to provide your password to complete the action)

5) Empty the Trash

 

All JMP system and configuration files should now be removed from your macOS system.
