Excel® numbers, dates and currency formats are not the same as the JMP® table

By default, JMP® uses the same regional settings for numbers, dates and currency as the Microsoft® Windows or Apple® macOS operating system it is installed on.

If you set JMP to use a different language setting in Preferences any exported Excel files reverts back to using the operating system’s regional settings.

NOTE: You can check your JMP language setting, by selecting File > Preferences, and looking at the Windows Specific option.  If the "Use JMP language rather than System locale settings for number, date and currency formats" is checked, you are overriding the regional settings and the number, date and currency formats will be different in Excel than in JMP.

To make the Excel date, number and currency formats appear the same as in JMP, you need to change the language settings of the operating system.

You can see how to do this for Microsoft Windows HERE.

You can see how to do this for Apple Mac OS HERE.

If you are having issues getting this resolved or have another question about exporting to Excel or another format, please contact JMP Technical Support.
