Determining your ODBC driver version when you contact JMP® for database-related questions

This JMP Note describes the steps you can take to determine your Open Database Connectivity (ODBC) driver version.

Take these steps if you are using a Microsoft Windows PC:

  1. Open JMP.
  2. Navigate to Help ► About JMP.
  3. If you are running JMP® 15 and higher, your system architecture is 64-bit. Otherwise, it lists as 32-bit in this area.
  4. Navigate to Control Panel ► System and Security ► Administrative Tools.
  5. Select either ODBC Data Sources (64-bit) or ODBC Data Sources (32-bit), depending on what you noted in step 3.
  6. Click the correct ODBC Data Sources application version.
  7. Look for the data source name (DSN) on either the User DSN tab or the System DSN tab. It is the name that you selected in JMP to connect to your database.
  8. After you locate the DSN, note the ODBC driver version listed in the third column.

Take these steps if you are using an Apple macOS system:

  1. Open Launchpad and find the ODBC Manager or iODBC Manager.
  2. Look for the data source name (DSN) on either the User DSN tab or the System DSN tab. It is the name that you selected in JMP to connect to your database.
  3. After you locate the DSN, note the ODBC driver version listed in the third column.
