JMP is valued in the Six Sigma community because it integrates all the capabilities essential for data-driven decision making and process improvement. JMP integrates tools and interactive reports that support each phase of the Six Sigma's DMAIC (Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve, Control) process.
The new, free JMP Modern Six Sigma Add-In, created by JMP SE Kim Hui Lim @lkimhui , integrates the JMP tools you need for the DMAIC analysis sequence, according to each step in the process. After downloading the add-in, which was created using JMP 18, you can easily install it into your instance of JMP.
Why do you need this add-in?
As you manage complex Six Sigma projects, it becomes paramount to quickly initiate workflows and access critical resources. Here are just a couple of ways that this add-in can significantly enhance efficiency:
- Save time: The Modern Six Sigma Add-In acts as a dedicated shortcut to the tools you need to complete the entire project using DMAIC process flow.
- Improve consistency and collaboration: Standardizing the workflow process minimizes oversight, ensures all necessary components are included, and improves communication so that teams are aligned.
How can I learn to use the add-in?
JMP is offering a series of three English-language webinars designed around our Modern Six Sigma Add-In so you can accelerate your learning process:
- Unleash the Power of Modern Six Sigma with JMP: From Problem Definition to Process Improvement
- In the Define phase of a Six Sigma project, engineers identify the problem and set clear goals, creating a project charter to secure stakeholder support. The Measure phase then assesses process performance to ensure goals are SMART and aligned with organizational priorities. This webinar shows you how to use the JMP Modern Six Sigma Add-In for your project. Discover just how easy it is to kickstart your DMAIC-focused work assignments.
- A video from a live webinar held Oct. 22, 204 is available for you to use with the Modern Six Sigma Add-In.
- Precision Matters: Mastering Measurement System Analysis with JMP® Modern Six Sigma Nov. 12, 1 p.m. (Singapore, Malaysia) | 10:30 a.m. (India) | 4 p.m. (NSW Australia)
- Measurement system analysis (MSA) is essential for validating measurement systems by evaluating their accuracy, stability, and precision. The Gauge Repeatability and Reproducibility (GR&R) study, a key MSA component, measures variability from equipment and process. This webinar demonstrates how to identify and quantify sources of variability in your measurement system with GR&R studies by installing the Modern Six Sigma Add-In in your JMP Project.

- Simplifying DMAIC Process Using Modern Six Sigma Add-In with JMP Dec. 5, 1 p.m. (Singapore, Malaysia) | 10:30 a.m. (India) | 4 p.m. (NSW Australia)
- This webinar shows you how to use the Modern Six Sigma Add-In to effectively integrate your DMAIC documentation, graphs, and workflows in a JMP Project. Key areas of focus include streamlining Six Sigma DMAIC applications for better project management, using the JMP Workflow Builder to automate SPC charting and to reduce errors, and customizing your JMP Project to meet your specific needs and enhance your Six Sigma processes.
