why doesn't the 2D contours graph with Nonpar Density include outliers?
why doesn't the 2D contours graph with Nonpar Density include outliers? how to include outliers in Nonpar Density 2D contours as in HDR 2D contours?
the picture on the left/top in Nonpar Density , the picture on the right/bottom is HDR on the same variables.

Re: why doesn't the 2D contours graph with Nonpar Density include outliers?
They are different methods/perspectives by definitions. HDR only has two levels of rings for 50% and 99% to emphasize. One can certainly draw nonparametric density contour with 100 levels and spot the outer 1% in the last ring. Nonparametric density contour provides better sense about how the denseness gradually change from area to area, but does not emphasize what HDR does.
