"^" next to P-value

Hello,

After running a custom design, the symbol " ^ " appears next to the P-value of some 2nd order variables.

What does it mean? Does it mean that the variable alone has less influence on the answer than the 2nd order factor ?

Thanks

Re: "^" next to P-value

It means that the main effect is contained in one of the higher order effects (your quadratic) above it, so you should not remove it.
