how to import customed sentiment list using manage sentiment term platform?

Hi,

I want to use only my sentiment list in sentiment analysis. I disabled all the built in (sentiment, intensifier and negation terms) then navigated to manage sentiment term platform and clicked on "import" then select my file (*.txt) but nothing applied. I prepared my sentiment list in two columns where the first column is "Term" and second is score.

I tried to search through everywhere for this topic but found nothing helpful even with the training video by JMP.

can someone help to teach me how I can import my own sentiment list file ?

If it is a .txt file just go to

     File==> Open

And JMP will open it .  You can select 1 of 4 methods for JMP to use in reading in the file.  Data(Using Preview) is a wizard that is pretty good

Re: how to import customed sentiment list using manage sentiment term platform?

My suggestion would be to build one first in JMP, export it, take a look at how it looks like (as Basic Analysis > Text Explorer > Text Explorer Platform Options > Text Preparation Options doesn't really explain the formats), load it to verify it works and then mimic it with your own words.

For example intensifier the format seems to be something like

Export loads them to your clipboard which you then paste to the fields
