All the files in the maps folder are formatted “pdf”. If a shape or dbf is saved as a .jmp it is converted to a pdf. Please help!

Re: Shape and dbf files

Hi,

Is it possible that you linked the jmp and dbf extension to a PDF reader such as Acrobat?

If it is the case, this article may help:

Re: Shape and dbf files

Here are the map files for JMP 15 that are written during the install.  The default location is:

     C:\Program Files\SAS\JMP\15\Maps

or

     C:\Program Files\SAS\JMPPRO\15\Maps

Here is the listing from that map folder

What folder are you trying to save your map files too?

Are you running Windows 10?

Re: Shape and dbf files

Thank you

Somehow all of the files in the map folder are displayed as PDF and not Jmp files. If a jmp file is placed in the folder by pasting it converts to a PDF.

Re: Shape and dbf files

That apparently was the problem.

Thank you very much. I should have posed the problem a week ago.

Thank you again.
