Re: SPSS .sav file crashing JMP 16.

Ron,

We were able to open in SPSS, but not clear on what software created the original files in the first place.  Some open, and others do not. Leading us to believe that it is likely a file configuration at the point of creation.  Will keep posted.

Jim,

We did and they are working on a fix. Not clear on what the cause of the issue is, but looking into it.  Will respond when it is solved.  Thank you.

I had some issues. it turned out the file doesn't open in SPSS either. it was created by a survey software and the whole text of the introduction was in one cell...

if you do not have SPSS to confirm it works try opening using excel (search on google).

let us know what was the issue.

Re: SPSS .sav file crashing JMP 16.

To close the loop, this has been solved. The originator of the file was combining two data files (screener and questionnaire) and sending out as one file. This created some script that JMP didn't like.  Once the files were sent separately, things worked right as rain.
