Post-hoc power analysis for bivariate regression analysis in JMP

I am looking to do a post-hoc analysis to calculate statistical power for bivariate regression analyses done in JMP. No experimental treatments were applied, this was an exploratory study that was interested in assessing the relationship between various parameters. All parameters assessed were continuous variables.

I understand you can do a power analysis in JMP for ANOVA, but can this also be done for regressions? Thank you!

Re: Post-hoc power analysis for bivariate regression analysis in JMP

If you want to perform a power analysis for regression, you would need to use the Fit Model platform (It seems that bivariate platform doesn't support a power analysis.).

- Select Fit Model
- Set Y and Effects
- Select "Effect Leverage Emphasis" from the Emphasis list.
- Click Run
- Click the red triangle above a Leverage plot
- Select Power Analysis

I hope it will help.
