Need some help on testing some assumptions and validating data

I was hoping that someone might be able to help me accomplish the following tasks in JMP. I'm kind of new to the software.

I need to test:
1) Dependent dichotomous? Independent variables metric or dichotomous?
2) Ordinal independent variable included in analysis?

There is some more, but I'll just throw this out there and see if anyone can help out.

I'm afraid I don't understand the question. In fact, its not even clear to me where your question is located, despite the question marks.

"I need to test dependent dichotomous?" has a question mark but is not a question.
