Multivariate-Imputation

When I perform data analysis, I use the imputate missing values in the multivariate plateform(https://www.jmp.com/support/help/13-2/Impute_Missing_Data.shtml). Where could I find the documentation on how this imputation method is done--such as formula, etc. I need to provide it in the paper I am writing.
