Modification de valeurs numériques

Bonjour,

j'ai exporté une table excel qui fini en table de données avec des colonne sous forme caractère. Or dans ces colonnes les valeurs sont numérique entre 0 et 5000. Mon problème est que sous forme caractère les valeurs supérieures à 999 sont écrites comme ça (1 000). Et quand je modifie la colonne en numérique toutes les valeurs supérieures à 999 disparaissent. Comment puis-je faire pour que ces valeurs  restent?

So you have extra () around those numbers? You could use Recode for example with Extract Segment

You can also add Parse as Numbers from Recode menu if you wish to but I think it won't convert to Continuous so you will still have to do that in a JMP table anyway.

Le problème vient du fait que les millier s'écrivent avec un espace (1 200 au lieu de 1200)  comment est ce que je peux corriger cela?

Ah... JMPs auto-translator is removing the space. I would still go with Recode and then use Replace String instead of Extract Segment and use space as Search text

The solutions using Recode suggested by @jthi are helpful in this case, and quite flexible. 

I would add: Excel import formatting issues are sometimes due to incorrect or inconsistent number formatting in Excel. It is worth checking this within Excel before importing to JMP. JMP will take into account the Number Format from Excel (number, currency, date, time, etc) when importing data.
