JMP Add-In, v6.5_hogi_GraphBuilderToolbar.jmpaddin, not installing properly?

Hi,

Running in Win10 Pro v22H2 environment with JMP v18.2.0.

  • Opened v6.5_hogi_GraphBuilderToolbar.jmpaddin in JMP
  • JMP msgbox shows Installing add-in
  • View>>Add-Ins shows the v6.5_hogi_GraphBuilderToolbar is installed and registered

The graph builder toolbar add-in does not show up under the Add-Ins menu.

I have rebooted machine and JMP and the add-in does not show.

Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Thank you

Onjai

Please ignore this post.  My apologies.

The add-in toolbar is displayed when Graph Builder is opened.

Thank you

Re: JMP Add-In, v6.5_hogi_GraphBuilderToolbar.jmpaddin, not installing properly?

Glad to hear you found the toolbar.

A bit tricky: I called it the "Graph Builder Toolbar" - because it adds a lot of useful shortcuts for Graph Builder.
On the other hand, some of the functions also work for other reports - so it's really an extension of the (existing) "Report" toolbar.
Sorry to all the users who were looking for a "Graph Builder" toolbar.

Once installed, the toolbar will be available from any report. If it is not visible by default, please right click on the toolbar area and activate the Report toolbar.

Another trick:
via right click, you can move it to the left:

The GraphBuilder window will look like this:

Re: JMP Add-In, v6.5_hogi_GraphBuilderToolbar.jmpaddin, not installing properly?

The Remote control for GraphBuilder is still in experimental mode.
In general, the 'Standard' setting should be sufficient. The "Pro" mode is only necessary if you want to fine-tune each individual combination of columns, e.g. female-12years=green & dashed, male-13years=red & dotted.

Todo/understand: There are some settings that are not yet controllable, even if they work for other configurations: Sometimes you have to play around with which column to use as "Overlay" and which column as "Colour" to enable colour control.

A short video of the new functionality can be found on the download page in the Marketplace:
