I'm not sure if JMP can do that by itself, but you can help JMP with Formula Column which will update row values if the row is selected (make that column Nominal):
Selected(Row State())
Then use that column as a Local data filter in the new graph builder (you can also minimize the Local data filter):
I suggest checking out this video by @brady_brady: Special Formula Columns . It will show this trick and other useful tricks with some formula columns.
