How to Build the DOE Model Equation?

Hello

I wonder how to make the exact model equation in various situation

Would you please introduce me the Textbook or Reference of good introducing of the Model Equation setting?

For example, I want to include 3 factors, Day, Temp, and Machine.

Machine and Temp are fixed factor and Day is random factor.

I want to make block about Day and Temp.

Thus in this situation,

How to build the model equation which looks like,

Y=Ai+Bj(i)+Ck(ij)+el(ijk) (<--this equation is arbitrarily made)

Very confusing of how to exactly make the Paranthesis and several other rules.

Please help me.

Re: How to Build the DOE Model Equation?

@MikeKim Have you had a look at Experimental Design by Kirk, or SAS for Mixed Models by Stroup, et al.

I find them useful.

Hi @MikeKim,

You can have a look at the JMP Help section dedicated to Mixed Model : Statistical Details for the Random Coefficient Model (jmp.com).
