How do I use Power Explorer for designs with interaction effects?
I am trying to calculate for power for a 4^2 full factorial using the Power Explorer for ANOVA. In the Fixed Parameters window I can input the number of groups i.e. 4 and everything else at their default values which gives me a sample size of 20 per group. Did the calculation consider the model with interactions or just the main efffects?

Re: How do I use Power Explorer for designs with interaction effects?
Hi @elb89,
Since you're doing a DoE, I would advise you to create your full factorial design with the JMP "Custom design" or "Classical" design platform, and then look at the Power calculation for the effects included in the model in the "Evaluate design" menu (or just before creating the DoE table, you can review and assess your DoE capabilities/performances in the panel "Design evaluation").
Depending on your goal, you can also play with the number of runs, type of design and optimality criterion, and compare the different designs (in "DoE", "Design diagnostics" and then "Compare designs") to see which one would be the most interesting one for your case.
