Hello @MEDOW!

I assume you would like to have the mean values displayed in your graphs and not as summary statistics below the graph.

If you would like to see the means in the graph, a way of doing that is going to Graph Builder, Select your Y and X factors, Select Box Plot (customize whatever color/style you want), right click on one of the points --> points --> summary statistics --> mean, you'll now have only one point indicating the mean, to show mean values: in the "points" menu (bottom right corner) --> change label from "no labels" to "label by value".

See an example of this in the attached picture.

Hope this helps!

Thank you Manlio for your support. My request was indeed to have the mean values displayed directly on the ANOVA graph as shown by Jarmo here below. Maybe something to be added in the next version of the software;-)

All the best,

If you wish to have Mean labels here

I think you have to script it.

Thank you Jarmo. I believe I will wait it is featured in the next JMP version;-)

Kind regards,

Re: How do I force the display of mean values as labels on an one-way ANOVA graph in JMP Pro 18.2.1

Hello again @MEDOW, I have found a workaround to display mean values in a one-way ANOVA graph.

After selecting your y and your x from Fit Y by X, red triangle (RT) and select one analysis that gives you means (e.g. "Means and Std Deviations" or "Means/Anova").

Now, right click on one of the mean values in the report and select "Show Properties" to open up the Properties panel on the right. (see screenshot 1).

Now adjust as you like your mean values in "items" (e.g. I only wanted 2 decimal values). Now, select and drag and drop the value in property tab (mean for you) onto the desired position in the graph. (see screenshot 2).

I have also checked and the values are displayed in the graph also if you export it as image or PowerPoint file.

Let me know if this is solving the problem!

Best,
Manlio
