How do I change all columns in a data table to continuous. I built the table from a csv file so all subsets are character

I need to change all the columns in a table to continuous.  In a script

for (i = 1, i <= ncols(dt), i++,

     column(dt, i) << data type(numeric);

     column(dt, i) << set modeling type(continuous);
