Help - JMP hardly working suddenly

Suddenly JMP has started behaving very strangely.  It keeps getting stuck where nothing is happening - no analysis is being done.  The menu items are often grayed out and sometimes I click on something - such as Save - and it disappears from the menu but does not do anything.  Eventually, I need to go to task manager and end JMP because it is just stuck.

The only thing new I did was that I downloaded the assistant add-in yesterday.  It hasn't worked very well for me and I have questions in the Marketplace about that.  I especially want to uninstall the addin to see if that is causing the problems - but I can't figure out how to uninstall the add-in.  I can't find it anywhere except that it appears under addins on my menu for addins.

If anybody can tell me how to uninstall the assistant addin or has any other idea why JMP is behaving so strangely suddenly, please help.

thanks.

Re: Help - JMP hardly working suddenly

Update:  JMP is back to behaving normally (so far).  I restarted my computer!  Amazing how often that solves problems.  In any case, I would still like to uninstall Assistant since it doesn't work well for me.  I don't understand your suggestion:  how do "unregister" the addin?  I don't see any option for unregistering it.

Not Assistant but it should be the same for that

Scripting Guide > Creating Applications > Create Add-Ins with the JMP Add-In Builder > Manage JMP A...

You can also remove the files manually, but I'm 100% sure that JMP will properly clean it from menu items if you do that. For windows add-ins are saved to %appdata%\JMP\JMP\Addins (C:\Users\<USERNAME>\AppData\Roaming\JMP\JMP\Addins)

View > Add-Ins and you should find Assistant and then you can unregister it. Not sure if it will uninstall the python packages, if it doesn't you would have to go and manually delete them (if you want to).
