Graph Builder, Line of Fit, confidence bands default removed?

In the Line of Fit option in Graph Builder, the "Fit" option under the Confidence group (left-hand panel) is always on by default. I would like to turn this default off. Is this possible with Preferences or otherwise?

I did not find any Preference settings for Graph Builder that permitted the unselecting of the "Fit" check box for the Confidence option. There are a lot of preferences available for Graph Builder, so you may want to check them out yourself.
