Fishbone/Hierarchical Graph via Graph Builder?

The Diagram function in the analyze / Quality and process menu is very helpful.
One can generate fishbown, hierarchical and nested diagrams.
Digging up Bones: Fisbone Diagrams

On the other hand, compared with the Graph Builder functionality in JMP18, it feels "outdated":

- no color dropzone [colors have to be applied manually, step by step for each entry]

- no Overlay dropzone - which could be used to control font settings

- no | X /Y Group Dropzones to structure the plot
the only option is a [by] dropzone - which removes the chance to save a script for the whole graph

The largest problem:
After adjusted fonts and color settings, the plot is not saved as a platform script. Instead, the script generates the plot as it is.
After adding new rows to the data table, the plot has to be generated from scratch.

a) Is there a functionality in Graph Builder which allows the user to generate such plots?
... with all the benefits/formatting options of Graph Builder?

b) Who uses the diagram function in Graph Builder?
How do you format and update the plot ? Could you share your experience  & useful tips?

Not possible yet?

Ok, here is the wish: GraphBuilder Powers for Fishbone/hierarchical Diagram Platform ....

please follow the link to the wish list and use a kudo to support the wish.
[Kudoing this post is not recorded by the system -> i.e. wasted.]

Re: Fishbone/Hierarchical Graph via Graph Builder?

I think diagram goes back to v4?, v5? maybe earlier.

A long time ago, (several computers and companies ago) I had a script that also colored branches of the fishbone based on a Color column.  That was a super convenient feature for tracking project status.

Diagram is a very underrated platform in JMP. How many investigations have you participated in that were de-railed/slowed-down by fidgeting-around (I could have used a different f-word...) with the drawing software or sticky notes? The Parent/Child data table is brilliant simplicity that allows the team to focus on the cause brainstorming without being distracted by presentation optics.

Interactive Mindmaps are very useful to "look at the data" - get an overview - brainstorm -  work on the whole picture - zoom into details - zoom out  / edit / add / follow a path ....

The parent/child approach is brilliant to get this information structured + into a data table to analyze / work with the data.
