Drag Data Table into Project

Data Tables can be stored inside projects.

This can be done via Files/Save As .../ Project contents:

or via Drag and Drop.

Sometimes, just the first approach works and with drag and drop JMP shows:

Does anybody know the reason?

Re: Drag Data Table into Project

Could be related to where the Data1 is saved to. If it isn't saved anywhere, you cannot drag and drop it and if it has been saved somewhere you can.

Re: Drag Data Table into Project

Ah, right, simple solution.

So, under the line, for data tables which are already saved before and added to the project, dragging a data table into "contents" is equivalent to "save as" / Project contents.

To use the drag & drop for a data table which is not yet saved, one has to save the table (somewhere else) and then drag it into the Contents area ; )
