Dashboard Builder Text Box Not Visible in Interactive HTML Export

Hi JMP Community,

I added a text box in Dashboard Builder to provide instructions for users of a dashboard containing a Process Screening report. The text displays correctly in JMP, but after exporting the dashboard as Interactive HTML with data, the text box is no longer visible. The Process Screening report itself exports correctly.

Is this expected behaviour?

@RegressionPuma8 - I tested this in JMP 19, creating a Dashboard like this:

In JMP it looks like this:

and when I Export > Interactive HTML with Data the HTML page looks like this:

What version of JMP are you using?  Does anything stand out in this example that is different than the process you are using?

Thanks for testing this.

I am using JMP 19 as well. One important difference is that my dashboard contains a Process Screening report (Analyze > Quality & Process > Process Screening) together with instruction text that was added in Dashboard Builder.

In my case, the behavior differs from your example:

• The dashboard does not display a "Dashboard" header.
• The instruction text added in Dashboard Builder is not visible after exporting to Interactive HTML.
• The Process Screening report itself is included in the dashboard.

Any way you could send an example table with the dashboard script to see where this could be coming from? It will be easier to see where it's going off.

Hi @RegressionPuma8 ,

I think this is a quirk of how JMP operates with HTMLs where it is 'using data' - in this case when using 'interactive html with data' there is no data source (ie a row with the text instructions) for the original text, but there is for the process screening. When you use Export>Html this works fine because it is essentially copying an image of the texts/graphs etc. I would suggest two things: 1) Reach out to [email protected] to see if they can assist further and 2) Add a wish item to our Wish List to request the feature.
