Change RSM factor levels following DOE run execution

Hi Community,

I created a 16 run RSM (Custom Design) with 1 categorical and 4 continuous factors. Early in the execution I was forced to change several factor levels for practical reasons. I restarted and completed all 16 runs at the new levels, recording on paper all the changes. When I updated the JMP run file and performed Analyze-Fit-Model, the model appeared to retain the previous factor levels. The results are confusing. Is there a correct and incorrect way to update factor levels following execution?

Using JMP 15.2.1.

Thanks.

Re: Change RSM factor levels following DOE run execution

Hi @MichaelR1,

Did you also change the column properties of your factors to reflect these changes on level values ?
Right click on each of your column factors, go to "Column Info" and look at the "Coding" column property to change the levels values. Once this is done, the model should be created on the new corrected levels.

Hope this help you,
