Parameter Estimate Population Report

Can someone please explain why in the Parameter Estimate Population Report in DOE Screening rows with p-value of 0.2 or less are automatically highlighted in blue? Wondering why the choice of 0.2 and not other values like 0.1, 0.05 etc.

Thanks!

Re: Parameter Estimate Population Report

In DOE (Design of Experiments) Screening, the threshold of 0.2 for highlighting p-values in blue is often chosen because it is less stringent than the more conventional thresholds like 0.1 or 0.05. Screening experiments aim to identify potential factors worth investigating further, not necessarily to establish statistical significance. By using a 0.2 threshold, the analysis captures a broader range of potentially influential factors, ensuring none are prematurely excluded. This approach is exploratory, allowing for more inclusive decision-making during the early stages of experimentation.
