Hello admin community,
I have question regarding jmp15.
Previously to manage our annual licenses we just add an entry into windows registry.
Entry was this one as explain in note 55149 : https://www.jmp.com/support/notes/55/149.html
[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\SAS Institute Inc.\JMP\12.0\Options]
"JMPPerPath"="\\mypath\\JMP12_mysite.per"
I did the same for jmp15 (by remplacing 12.0 by 15.0, and license too :) but it don't work. I registered jmp15 manually and saw that JMP.PFS file was updated with this new item:
License File Path("\\mypath\JMP15_mysite.per")
Is JMP.PFS file the only way to store the path to jmp15 license?
Thanks
Guillaume
The answer is Yes. The license management of JMP was changed with version 15 to store the location of the PER file (license information file) in the JMP.PFS file only.

Thank you Bob.
Do you have a recommendation to deploy jmp15 on the PCs of several hundred users while keeping the preferences of jmp12?
Guillaume
French jmp support show me the note 62281. I will try...

Thanks
You can customize your Software Depot with a PFS file that will result in the PFS file being automatically installed each time. Please refer to the section Adding Custom Files to a Software Depot in the JMP Deployment Guide.

For the moment we don't use software depot.
We also want to to keep users preferences from previous jmp version.
I will check all this with my IT office team.
Thanks for your answers.
