I want to make a column list based on some selection criteria. Column names would not be known in advance. Then I use that column list to make a formula column that takes the mean (or sd or number) of those columns.
Simple example script which takes all numeric columns:
dt = Open( "$SAMPLE_DATA/Cars.jmp" );
ColList = {};
For(i=1, i<=NCols(), i++,
If(Column(i)<<GetDataType=="Numeric", InsertInto...
Hi everyone, We’re developing a highly complex, multi-unit manufacturing process with a large number of CPPs across the various unit operations, together with continuous CQAs such as time-dependent drug release profiles. We’ve built up quite a lot of historical data from previous DoEs, which we’re currently looking at as one combined dataset, and we also have the possibility to generate substantia...
Hi all, I'm trying to compare across rows in my data table in a generalizable manner. To do this, I'd like to create a formula column that finds and returns a value from a specific row with certain traits. In this example screenshot, I would like the "Control Result" to be a formula column that returns the "Control" row with a matching "Donor" field, and return the corresponding "Result" score. I...
I am doing a fit Y by X using by variable (3 levels). I then add a legend by a nominal variable. Add a local data filter to select the batches of interest. This works as expected and desired. As select various batches the graph updates including the legend. However only for the first subgraph, to do the others I need to create a local data filter for each of the others. The workflow then requ...

In "Fit Model" Standard Least Squares, I would like to do planned comparisons involving a continuous variable. The Custom Test would seem to be ideal, except that it does not include all the estimates (so as to not overfit). However, some of my planned comparisons involve the estimate that is not included in the custom test dialog (some do not). While expanded estimates shows the value, it is not...
Hello, i m struggling to obtain DOE results interpretation in a user friendly way, which are the main and interactions effects ? i m a former minitab user for years and would like to get support to interprete easily with JMP DOE results , this is just an example : The current DOE for which i m requesting support is a simple full factorial design with 3 parameters at 2 levels Would you please ...
Dear All, I am looking for advice on the appropriate statistical approach in JMP to evaluate a formulation screening/stability study. I have developed several formulations of an API solution containing different combinations of stabilizing components (A, B, C, D, E). The formulations have been filled into two different container types, so I would like to evaluate both the effect of the stabilizing...
With a 24 run mixture DOE I could find very good models and optimal settings for a ternary mixture and one categorical effect, this was presented in foregoing discussion; find in attachment again the analysis and below screenshots of the desirability results. With Isomer 2 desirability result is worse; below the settings when locking Isomer 2 Starting with a 9 run candidate space filling set (s...
I am looking for guidance on how to perform diagnostics (model fit, model form, assumptions, outliers) of logistic regression models created using the fit model generalized linear model personality. The generalized linear model personality must be used in this case because the data has small sample sizes and complete separation. The only diagnostic plots available in the generalized linear model p...
Hey everyone,
I wanted to share a highly efficient workflow I've developed that bridges JMP's data manipulation capabilities with the power of NVIDIA's latest AI models running on their free API platform (NIM).
The core idea is to automate the generation of executable Python/JSL scripts directly within JMP, effectively creating a "content factory" for data analysis tasks.
The Technical Workflow:
Dat...
1. How to get PRESS values in JMP when using PLS2 NIPALS and Leave out One data ? 2. When finding RMS PRESS using hand written code I get matching answers for toy problems using (n-1)*k as averaging factor where n is no. of observations and y is number of responses. 3. But in large problems like Baltic or Gasoline the RMS PRESS was not matching with handwritten code. But coefficients of the...
The customised run test2, can be customised from 7 to 11, say you set it to 7 and you have 7 + another 11 points all below the centerline why does the process screen function. Why does it
1) Record 11 as the number of alarms, where in fact there is only 1 single stepchange
2) Surely it shoud just record 1, as there is only 1 stepchange that affect 7+11 points. You are not goin to ivestigate all 18...
Our company uses JMP Live, version 19.0.2 We make use of JMP Live's event scheduler to automatically refresh reports via SQL queries. Typically our data refresh jobs <1 minute to complete with a handful that take 2-3 minutes at most. However, at least once a week, our scheduled refresh pool becomes "stuck". Data refreshes and reports which usually take seconds to complete instead stay active in t...
