  • Extracting fitted B-spline functions from Functional Data Explorer – is this approach appropriate?

Hello, I am using JMP Student Edition 19.1.4 to analyze functional data from a kinetic experiment. My experimental design is based on a 3-factor Box-Behnken design. I know that the experimental factors have significant effects on the responses, but these effects can vary over time. Therefore, I am interested not only in the response at a specific time point, but also in how the kinetic profiles ch...

  • Analysis help with 4 data sets comparing with 1 dataset, but I have 70 variables to identify key focus.

If I have 4 data sets comparing with 1 dataset, but I have 70 variables to identify key focus. What are the steps for reducing variables to get to the few key variables affecting my results? I was trying out using Z-Score Variance Filtering, to reduce down to 20 variables, then run PCA Analysis.   Are there other ways to do this to be more accurate without JMP PRO?

  • Local Function Variables in Button Box

Hello, I'm looking for a solution to accessing local variables when creating a Button Box inside of a function.  I've seen one post here where the suggested solution was to assign variables to the window namespace.  However, I don't think this will work for the reports I am needing to build since they have multiple reused parts in the same window. In my example, I just try to print the values of m...

  • Non normal and unequal variance

    Hello everyone,

I am analyzing a dataset with three treatment factors. The data satisfy the normality assumption but violate the assumption of homogeneity of variance. I understand that Welch’s ANOVA may not be appropriate because I want to evaluate the main effects of each factor as well as their interactions.

In another scenario, the data violate both the normality and homogeneity of variance assu...

  • Access to JMP User Community Add-ins section - Insufficient privileges

It seems for me that I cannot access the JMP User Community Add-ins page anymore. E.g. the Data Tables Tool Add https://community.jmp.com/t5/JMP-Add-Ins/Data-Table-Tools-Add-in/ta-p/28582 resolves for me in an error page since last Tuesday:   It seems that the whole Add-ins section in the JMP User Community is not accessible anymore. Many of these add-ins are not in the Marketplace. Doey anyone e...

  • Logistic Regression Diagnostics in Generalized Linear Model with Firth Bias Adjustment

I am looking for guidance on how to perform diagnostics (model fit, model form, assumptions, outliers) of logistic regression models created using the fit model generalized linear model personality. The generalized linear model personality must be used in this case because the data has small sample sizes and complete separation. The only diagnostic plots available in the generalized linear model p...

  • Mass Production of JSL Code Generation via JMP Python Integration Using NVIDIA's Free API (DeepSeek V4 Pro)

    Hey everyone,
I wanted to share a highly efficient workflow I've developed that bridges JMP's data manipulation capabilities with the power of NVIDIA's latest AI models running on their free API platform (NIM).
The core idea is to automate the generation of executable Python/JSL scripts directly within JMP, effectively creating a "content factory" for data analysis tasks.
    The Technical Workflow:
    Dat...

  • PLS2 NIPALS Root Mean Square PRESS

    1.  How to get PRESS values in JMP when using PLS2 NIPALS and Leave out One data ? 2.  When finding RMS PRESS using hand written code I get matching answers for toy problems using (n-1)*k as averaging factor where n is no. of observations and y is number of responses.   3.  But in large problems like Baltic or Gasoline the RMS PRESS was not matching with handwritten code.   But coefficients of the...

  • SPC: Run test 2

The customised run test2, can be customised from 7 to 11, say you set it to 7 and you have 7 + another 11 points all below the centerline why does the process screen function.  Why does it

    1) Record 11 as the number of alarms, where in fact there is only 1 single stepchange
    2) Surely it shoud just record 1, as there is only 1 stepchange that affect 7+11 points.  You are not goin to ivestigate all 18...

  • JMP Live Event Queue Freeze - Jobs Stalling and Event Queue Backlog

Our company uses JMP Live, version 19.0.2 We make use of JMP Live's event scheduler to automatically refresh reports via SQL queries. Typically our data refresh jobs <1 minute to complete with a handful that take 2-3 minutes at most.  However, at least once a week, our scheduled refresh pool becomes "stuck". Data refreshes and reports which usually take seconds to complete instead stay active in t...
