Text Import Preview (Windows)

Use the Text Import Wizard window to see a preview of how JMP imports a text file:

1. Select File > Open.
2. Select the text file that you want to open.
3. At the bottom of the Open Data File window, select the option Data (Using Preview).
4. Click Open. The Text Import Preview shows you how your text file is imported. You can change settings and see what effect the changes have on the text.
5. When the data is set the way you want, click Next to see a window where you can change column names and types.
6. Click Import to import the text file into a JMP data table.
