Preview the Distribution Behind an Aggregation in Hover Label Graphs

Do you want to see and compare the distribution of the data behind aggregated visual elements, like slices in a pie chart, tiles in a treemap, or bars in a bar chart? Add a histogram, heatmap, or box plot to a hover label.

  1. In a JMP graph, right-click and select Hover Label.
  2. Select the type of graph you want to add.
  3. Select a Hover Label TypeSelect a Hover Label Type
  4. Hover over an element in the graph.
  5. Show a Hover LabelShow a Hover Label
  6. (Optional) To pin a hover label to a graph, hover over the label and at the top right, click the Pin icon.
  7. (Optional) To move the hovel label on a graph, drag it to a new position. A tag line appears to show which bar the label is associated with.
