Prediction Profiler Extrapolation Control - New in JMP Pro 16

There is a new option in Profiler to prevent model predictions that are far outside the region where the data are located.  Learn about this advanced statistical modeling capability introduced with JMP Pro 16.

Extrapolation Control is available in profilers embedded in platforms and profilers launched from the Graph menu. The data used for the extrapolation control metrics depends on the type of profiler.

In this video, learn about the new Extrapolation Control in the Prediction Profiler. This is an option in the Profiler red triangle menu.

Extrapolation control is available in the following platforms:

  •  Standard least squares
  •  Neural
  •  Generalized Regression
  •  NaïveBayes
  • SupportVectorMachines(SVM)
  • PartialLeastSquares(PLS)
  • Structural Equation Models (SEM)
  • Profiler from the Graph menu (which profiles any equation)
