This session is for all JMP users.
The latest version of JMP brings a wave of major enhancements to the Data Table grid, rows, columns, and script panels that make it easier to select, store, organize, filter and use column metadata.
One of the key JMP Development Test Engineers responsible for data table enhancements demonstrates how, when and why to use the new capabilities, including:
- Modifying Column selection, widths, and header graphs interactively.
- Filtering views to quickly examine and switch between subsets of rows, including during real-time report updates.
- Locking filters and creating subsets from current locked or unlocked filter views.
- Filtering columns in the columns panel and data grid, which is especially useful with wide data.
- Assigning and using nested column groups interactively in the data grid and via JSL scripts.
- Accessing and editing long text values in JMP using a new edit pane.
- Creating column Tags that contain descriptions, symbols, colors and properties that are stored in the data table. Properties are dynamically applied to columns that reference the Tag and can be shared with other columns across different tables.
