What inspired this wish list request?
Most Stem and Leaf plots put the minimum value on the top and maximum on the bottom. JMP does not currently have that option.
What is the improvement you would like to see?
I would like to see an option to reverse the order of the stems and options to add custom labeling for a key, and graph title.
Why is this idea important?
I teach introductory statistics. The stem and leaf plot is very awkward in its current form. It is also very difficult for students to picture the shape of the distribution. A more customizable stem and leaf plot will allow students to make a nice graphic and add custom labels so that it can be directly used in a document or presentation.
