Shewhart Chart Test 2 Description

What inspired this wish list request? We were trying to explain the out of control tests to a group of users familiar with control chart concepts but not with JMP(R) and we got confused by the Test 2 description.  

 

 

What is the improvement you would like to see?  Simplify the description of test 2 to something like "nine points in a row on the same side of the center line."  There is no need to mention "Zone C". Minitab(R) makes it simple:

Why is this idea important? The people in my organization use JMP(R) for industrial situations and the Nelson definition you have in the documentation is confusing by mentioning zone C.
